Dr Jade Shandler is a specialist consultant anaesthetist who graduated from medical school with honours from the University of Cape Town in South Africa in 2007. She obtained her fellowship in Anaesthesia from the Australian and New Zealand College of Anaesthetists in 2016 and obtained a Merit award in the Fellowship examination. Dr Shandler subsequently completed a fellowship at Royal Prince Alfred Hospital in Sydney with a focus on anaesthesia for major liver and cardiac surgery.

She is employed as a specialist anaesthetist at St George Public Hospital, The Royals Woman’s Hospital and a number of private hospitals throughout Sydney. Her main areas of interest are anaesthesia for obstetrics and gynaecology, bariatrics, major abdominal surgery, urology and dental surgery.

When Dr Shandler is not at work, she enjoys spending time with her family, being at the beach and baking.
