Dr Jones is a graduate of Sydney University Medical School. He trained in anaesthesia at the Royal Prince Alfred Hospital, Sydney; The Children’s Hospital, Westmead; Sydney Children’s Hospital and St Luc Hospital, Brussels, Belgium.

He has a wide experience in all areas of anaesthesia, but has a special interest in hand and orthopaedic surgery, daystay surgery, ear nose and throat surgery, paediatric anaesthesia and obesity surgery. He taught physiology and pharmacology to anaesthesia trainees on a weekly basis at St George Public Hospital between 2000 and 2008.
